Continuing in our series of spotlighting the staff at Bringing Hope to the Family (BHTTF) in Uganda, we are honored to introduce you to Georgina! Hear from her in her own words below her photo!
“I have been working with BHTTF since 2004 and now it is 9 years of service.
I was working somewhere in another organisation and I had a dream that God was calling me to leave the place. I did so but after a year, God brought me to Bringing Hope to the Family. Since then I worked as an administrator, cashier, and store keeper. I stayed with two positions up to now. On Jan. 30th, 2012, I was appointed as acting principal of Dorcas Vocational Institute. I enjoy serving people, meeting their needs, accepting them, and praying with them.
My future dream is to move and serve others far in the villages who can’t even afford to come to BHTTF. Mostly I long to have money to build a residential house where I can look after five children and it’s my future dream.
I very much enjoyed the leadership class and how it is shaping my character:
- Becoming a leader who is humble.
- Making myself a leader of integrity .
- I have developed the spirit of servanthood.
- I have learned to keep time. Training other leaders not to be selfish or work alone.
- Accept people as they are and serve them with abandon.
I highly appreciate my facilitators Katie and Chris for their effort and time they put in. God bless you so much. Lastly, I was inspired to go for pastoral training and look forward to that opportunity. Thank you.”
We are so proud of the staff and how they have grown through the Leadership Classes, and looking forward to what the future holds for us as a team and for each individual. Say hi to Georgina in the comments below! She’d love to hear from you.
