Welcome to Photo Friday! We hope you had a wonderful time celebrating Thanksgiving with family and friends, and we look forward to you being a part of our Tis The Season campaign! More information will be coming on Giving Tuesday, so you have something to look forward to in between your leftovers. Here are some of my favorite photos from this past week working alongside Bringing Hope to the Family in Uganda!
Apparently there was something very interesting just over the wall at Home Again.
BHTF has started building a new well for the community of Ruhoko! This well will bring clean water to everyone in the community. Clean water is something very much needed here; last time I visited the old water source I found a dead frog floating on top of the water.
When I visited the site of the new well in Ruhoko this week they had just reached the water table. It was pretty neat to see the water slowly begin to puddle at the bottom of the well. This also means that by the end of this week the well will be completed and Ruhoko will have clean water!
This is my friend Jodie with Sam from Home Again. Jodie and three other girls from the UK are living in Kaihura for a year and teaching in the primary schools. They have been a great addition to the community and loving hanging out at Home Again getting to know the kids there.
Ugandan spelling/grammar is often very amusing, like this gate in Kampala. I’m sure this message is meant to be somewhat menacing, but it always just makes me laugh.
Thanks for checking out this week’s photos! Let me know which one was your favorite in the comments.
